Meet our Coaches

Baseball

Wil Cordero   (2006 - Present)

Wil began working at KSA just after retiring from Major League Baseball, where during his 14 year career he was named both an All-Star and winner of the prestigious Silver Slugger Award. Wil hit 122 home runs while playing shortstop, first base, and left field with the Montreal Expos, Chicago WhiteSox, Cleveland Indians, Boston RedSox, Florida Marlins, and Washington Nationals. Wil is an excellent instructor who enjoys passing on his extensive knowledge of the game to our young campers.

Basketball

James Hannah  (2005 - Present)

James Hannah has been coaching our young basketball stars at KSA since 2006. A star player at Grambling College, James went on to play professionally in Europe for many years, and now coaches high school players in Germany. James has a great eye for seeing where players can improve, and great rapport with all of our campers. He is an outstanding teacher and motivator, and many of our campers go to him during their free time to work on individual improvement.

Ricky Easterling (2006 - Present)

Ricky Easterling currently plays professional basketball for BG Karlsruhe in Germany. He has 8 scoring titles and has been player of the year 3 times. Ricky was also All-American in basketball and track and field at Bridgewater College of Virginia. Since 2006, Ricky has helped campers with their vertical leap and strength and conditioning. Our campers are extremely lucky to work with such a talented coach throughout the summer.

Soccer

Oscar Ferreres  (2023 - Present)

Coach Oscar will be taking over as head coach of the KSA soccer program in 2023. Oscar hails from Castellon, Spain, where he played competitively and has been coaching for the last eight years. Oscar brings an exciting new energy to KSA.

Tennis

Raj Naidu  (1980 - Present)

Ethiraj Naidu, fondly known as Raj to KSA campers and staff, has been with Kutsher's Sports Academy since 1982. A former professional player in his native country of India, Raj has been teaching professionally for over 25 years since his retirement as a player. His knowledge and motivation best suit our upper level players, and Raj works with them tirelessly to bring out the best in each of them.

Gajapathy Varadhajulu (1980 - Present)

Gaja leads an outstanding tennis program at KSA. He was a terrific player in his early career and is still successful in the Indian over 50 circuit. Gaja works with all levels of ability and is a very knowledgeable instructor. He is kind and encouraging and every camper that works with him shows continued growth. 

Track & Roller Hockey

Brad Rangell (2018- present)

"Coach Brad" was a competitive runner in high school and college and continues to be active in competitive tennis, roller hockey, basketball, and other sports. Brad is a graduate of Binghamton University (MBA) and Brandeis University (B.A.) and lives in Woodbury, Long Island, with his wife, two sons, and daughter Gracie (a ten-year old Golden Doodle)

Weight Training

Billy Selwyn   (1989 - Present)

Bill teaches Physical Education and coaches football in Florida during the school year. He brings to KSA a wealth of knowledge regarding fitness and training that benefits all of our campers greatly. He develops and administers programs for campers looking to prepare for their upcoming school seasons and gives them an ability to continue training once they leave camp throughout the school year

Flag Football

Scott Farley  (2017)

Scott Farley earned All-America honors in football, indoor track and outdoor track at Williams College, a small liberal arts school in the Berkshires. From 2003-04 Farley was a receiver/safety candidate with the New England Patriots and from 2004-06 he was with the Carolina Panthers as a safety before suffering a career-ending injury with the Panthers. Farley was a two-time All-NESCAC selection at safety, the 2002 NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year, led NESCAC in punting in 2002 (38.8) and was named to the 2002 American Football Coaches All-American Team. We are very excited to have Scott join us this summer!
