Hello Kutsher's day camp families!

We hope that you are as excited as we are for camp to begin.

It's been a long year and we believe that kids need camp more than ever. We know that your campers have missed out on so much in the past year and we are excited to give them a sense of normalcy this summer.

2021 will be the summer to disconnect from technology and reconnect with friends. Your campers will have the opportunity to get outside, play their favorite sports, and make lasting friendships.

Hillary & Mike

Hi everyone,

I'm so excited to be joining the Kutsher's Day Camp family. Throughout the school year, I am a teacher at the Berkshire School's UMCC. I am originally from Pittsfield, MA and I now live in Salisbury, CT. with my husband and my daughter Maddie (who will be attending day camp at Kutsher's this summer!).

My favorite sport is track and field and I was the captain of the track team at UMass Lowell!  I love watching kids grow and develop and look forward to supporting them as they try new things this summer.

If you have any questions throughout the summer, do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you all soon. It's going to be a wonderful summer!

Camp Uniforms & Packing List

We require that all day campers purchase at least one KSA t-shirt. These can be purchased in advance by emailing with your child's t-shirt size. Campers will receive their t-shirt on the first day of camp.

Your camper should pack the following items each day. We also recommend packing a book for our rest period.

Health & Safety

At Kutsher's day camp, we take the health of our campers very seriously. We ask that you partner with us in keeping every camper healthy. Please do not send your camper if they are not well enough to participate in camp activities. All campers must be fever free without taking medicine for 24 hours before they can return to camp (without having any other COVID symptoms).

We will contact you when:

> A camper becomes ill with a fever and/or vomiting.

> A camper has a significant bump, bruise, or cut.

> A camper has any head-related injury.

> A camper visits the health center multiple times in one day.

If we can't reach you, we will call the emergency contact.

Staying safe at camp begins with staying safe at home. We ask that all our campers and staff are overly cautious about all contact outside the home before and during the camp season.

Over-the-counter medications can only be administered if you and your doctor have both signed our "over-the-counter medication" form.

State law mandates that any medication, over the counter or prescribed, epi-pens, inhalers, etc. will be administered by our camp nurses ONLY if the proper documentation is on file.

Specific Covid information and guidance will be sent out by June 15, 2021.

All day campers will travel in small groups to their activities. To see a sample schedule, please click here. We do recommend completing the activity preference form prior to camp. We will do our best to meet all requests of the group and will use this form to create group schedules.

There will be no off-site activities in 2021.

Every Wednesday will be a special event day. We do request that campers wear their Kutsher's t-shirt on Wednesdays. If campers need any other equipment, we will notify you via email.

All swimming at Kutsher's Sports Academy takes place in beautiful Lake Buel. KSA follows the guidelines of the American Red Cross Instructional Swim Program Levels 1-6. Swim is an integral part of our day camp program. Due to space restrictions, we will do our best to provide swim lessons to all non-swimmers daily.

Kutsher's Sports Academy will not be providing lunch this summer. Lunches should be sent in a lunchbox with an ice pack. KSA is nut-free. Please make sure your camper's lunch does not contain nut products.

Lunch will take place outdoors under a tent. Each group will have an assigned table(s) for the week that will be socially distanced and sanitized before and after eating.

KSA will provide campers with a pre-packaged individual snack each morning and afternoon.

Please apply sunscreen & bug spray before your camper arrives at camp. We ask that you send in additional sunscreen and bug spray (labeled with your camper's name). Counselors will reapply during the day.

Please contact Hillary by email ( or phone (413-644-0077) with any questions.
