Hello Kutsher's Day Camp families!

We hope that you are as excited as we are for camp to begin. It's been another crazy year and we believe that kids continue to need camp more than ever. Our Welcome to Camp guide is best viewed on a desktop computer.

Summer camp gives kids the opportunity to grow. According to the American Camp Association, some of the main benefits of camp include gaining confidence, developing social skills, making new friends, and becoming more adventurous.

2024 will be a summer to disconnect from technology and reconnect with friends. Your campers will have the opportunity to get outside, play their favorite sports, and create lasting friendships.

If you have any questions as we get closer to camp, feel free to reach us at any time.  We are looking forward to a wonderful summer!

Love,

Hillary & Mike

Health and Safety

At Kutsher's day camp, we take the health of our campers very seriously. We ask that you partner with us in keeping every camper healthy. Please do not send your camper if they are not well enough to participate in camp activities. All campers must be fever free without taking medicine for 24 hours before they can return to camp.

We will contact you when:

A camper becomes ill with a fever and/or vomiting.

- A camper has a significant bump, bruise, or cut.

- A camper has any head-related injury.

- A camper visits the health center multiple times in one day.

If we can't reach you, we will call the emergency contact.

MEDICATIONS

Medications will only be administered if you and your healthcare provider have completed the required forms.

State law mandates that any medication, over the counter or prescribed, epi-pens, inhalers, etc. will be administered by our camp nurses ONLY if the proper documentation is on file.

Program

DAILY PROGRAM

All day campers will travel in small groups to their activities. To see a sample schedule, please click here. You will receive your camper's schedule* and group information for the coming week each Sunday by end of day (*schedules are subject to change).

SPECIAL EVENT DAYS

Every Wednesday will be a special event day. We ask that campers wear their Kutsher's t-shirt on Wednesdays. If campers need any other equipment, we will notify you via email.

SWIMMING

All swimming at Kutsher's Day Camp takes place in beautiful Lake Buel. Kutsher's follows the guidelines of the American Red Cross Instructional Swim Program Levels 1-6. Swim is an integral part of our day camp program. Due to space restrictions, we will do our best to provide swim lessons to all non-swimmers two times per week.

DAILY LUNCH & SNACKS

Kutsher's Day Camp offers two options for camp lunch.

1. Campers may bring their own lunch to camp each day. Kutsher's Day Camp requires all food to be nut-free. Lunches must be sent in a lunchbox with an ice pack.

2. Campers may purchase lunch at camp. The cost is $60.00 per week and campers must opt into our lunch program for the full week. Please use the "Additional Options" form to sign up for camp lunch.

Kutsher's Day Camp will provide campers with a pre-packaged individual snack each morning and afternoon.

SUNSCREEN & BUG SPRAY

Please apply sunscreen & bug spray before your camper arrives at camp. We ask that you send in additional sunscreen and bug spray (labeled with your camper's name). Counselors will reapply during the day.
